Chocolate Bliss Balls - 6 Ingredients

Chocolate Bliss Balls - 6 Ingredients

Medjool date balls are a great energy and nutrient dense snack packed with essential nutrients such as fiber, potassium, and magnesium. Nuts are also nutrient-dense, containing healthy fats, protein, vitamins, and minerals. When combined, these ingredients provide sustained energy and keep you feeling full and satisfied. They are also easy to take with you on the go, making them a convenient snack option for busy days.

Chocolate Bliss Balls:

Ingredients - makes 15 balls:
  • 1 cup dates
  • 1 1/2 cup nuts (I like almond and cashews)
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup desiccated coconut
  • 1/2 cacao
  • 1/2 tbsp coconut oil

Method:

  1. Remove pits from dates. If you are using pantry stable dates, soak in boiling water for 15 minutes and drain.
  2. Blend nuts, oats and coconut until crumbly.
  3. Add dates and coconut oil to blender.
  4. If your mixture is too crumbly, add a further tsp of coconut oil, or a tbsp of water and blitz again.
  5. Wet your hands and roll mixture into a ball shape.
  6. Refrigerate for at least an hour before consuming.

Notes:

  • For a school safe alternative, replace nuts with 1 cup of mixed seeds and increase oats to 1 cup.
  • You can customise this recipe by including protein powder, food safe essential oils or nuts of your liking!
  • You can sub coconut oil for melted butter or EVOO
  • Nutrition is personal, but I recommend a serving size of 1 or 2 balls depending on your goals and individual needs!
